Albana wine was the first white wine to obtain the DOCG (Denomination of Controlled and Guaranteed Origin) April 13, 1987. Since then it has become, along with the Sangiovese, the symbol of Romagna. Straw yellow to golden color with aging. typical light fragrance, dry in the dry type, fruity type lovable, sweet and velvety in the passive. Minimum total alcoholic strength by 11,5%.

History Only wine DOCG region, once a product in large areas and currently limited to three typical zones by a strict regime: Dozza for the lovable type, the greenhouse for the dry and Bertinoro for the sweet. The unique vine is Albania, but there are many clones.

Matchings The dry type, the whole meal, goes well with garganelli with meat sauce, soups, fish dishes, foie gras, white meat, brains and sweetbreads. With loving and kind, sweet donut Reggio, fruit tarts, trifle, fresh fruits (except figs, grapes and citrus). With the past: dry pastries, nuts, cheese and herbs (perhaps accompanied by mustarda) with mustard. Also excellent for meditation.
